Manchester United came back from behind to win their FA cup match 4-3 against Liverpool at the Old Trafford. United drew first blood with just 10 minutes played in the first half after Scott Mc’tominay edged one past Kelleher to make the score 1-0.

Erik ten Hag’s charges did well to control the game but Liverpool levelled the game right before half time as Alexis Macallistair struck a vicious shot from the edge of the box to make it one all. Mohammed Salah scored Liverpool’s second just three minutes later after United goalkeeper Andre Onana parried Darwin Nunez’s shot straight in to him for an easy finish.

The Reds controlled the better part of the second half but failed to capitalise on their chances to increase their lead. Anthony who has in recent weeks been criticised over his performance drew the game 2-2 with just three minutes of regular time left to play in regular time.

Extra time made for an absolute thriller at the Old Trafford. Harvey Elliot came off the bench for Szoboszlai to give the visitors the advantage in the 105′ minute. But United showed resilience to get back in to the game after Marcus Rashford scored United’s third to draw the game for the third time in the match.

Amad Diallo’s last minute strike ended Jurgen Klopp’s dreams of a quadruple and booked United a solid spot in the FA Cup semifinals. Klopp who’s contract comes to a close at the end of the season will now have to fancy his chances of winning the Premier League as United move on to take on Coventry City in the semifinals of the FA Cup.

Manchester City who won their match against Newcastle will take on Chelsea in the semifinals, in what will be the sixth consecutive they have reached the penultimate stage of the competition in the past five seasons.
